Zakuro TBS in Akasaka

The food and the service is good. I was surprised the food was served shortly after we have placed our orders despite the restaurant was full on a Thursday evening. They were six of us. We ordered a steak course, premium beef sukiyaki, Matsusaka beef sukiyaki and a fish Japanese course plus some a-la-carte including the wagyu beef sushi, sashimi, tomato salad, green salad and cold tofu. The kitchen was very accommodative to replace the beef with steamed fish for my Japanese course. For the sukiyaki, the beef is cooked, dipped in raw egg and served to you.

Not only the meat, but also the garnished vegetables were very delicious.

There are many shops where you can get the same meat and price, but you won't be able to taste the hospitality here.

A great meal for all shabu-shabu enthusiasts and so are surroundings and service. The gomadare has got to be amongst the very best in the capital. A pity that Zakuro-san was just over half empty on a Saturday evening in the group’s prime location. Prices are high but still not outrageously so.

Quality and service are all satisfactory. I liked the restaurant at the back of the US embassy because it was quieter, but still delicious. It's hard to find such a high-end store in a rural area, so it's like Tokyo.
